What would you do if you were standing in your place of business: it doesn’t matter where, maybe you’re an artist, doctor, or mom in the kitchen. And your child just 5 years old comes up to you and says ‘I’ve got an idea to help you in what you’re doing!’ Would you say cute kid, I love you, I’m busy… Talk later… Shuffle off now?

That was my first impulse, after all I may be an artist but I’m focused, driven, and think I know where I’m going - A bit of humor. I may have brushed Tirza aside if it wasn’t for a message I received years ago that stuck deep within me; essentially the message was kids bring magic..! Looking down from my throne, I immediately felt light headed; my internal voice was asking me can you handle where this may go Louis? I didn’t know that answer but the quality of her command held me still for a moment and I’m a bit of an explorer of the unknown so I took the leap and asked. Tirza what do you have?

“O.K. Dad you have to make this piece of art next!” She had my attention, I was being commanded in that pure, clean, open way we use when we are trying to protect someone, or lift them out of a rut.

“This is what it has to say - Strawberries are made of Love and so is Mama, Dada, and on and on she went, telling me all the people in her life that are made of Love”. That night we finished the words and designed the art together.

That’s how this “Father and Daughter Art Team” started and it still continues 7 years since that day and dozens of co-creations later, my little magician still guides me and keeps me awake more often than all the years of meditation, vegetarian eating, walks in the woods and so on, all put together. I’m in gratitude to magic.

We hope you feel the Love,
Louis and Tirza Buchetto
